Mukesh will miss the April 23 match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. He has already left the squad and travelled to Bhilwara for the last rites.
The left-arm pacer had recently returned to the playing XI. He featured against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18. Mukesh impressed with figures of 2 for 21, dismissing Travis Head and Ishan Kishan.

He replaced Khaleel Ahmed, who remains out due to a quadriceps injury. CSK retained Mukesh for Rs 30 lakh ahead of IPL 2026.
His absence creates a gap in the pace attack for this key match. Gurjapneet Singh is likely to step in as a replacement option. CSK will now have to adjust their bowling combination as they prepare for the match.
