Nepal and Oman Seal 2026 T20 World Cup Spots Before Super Six Clash

Nepal and Oman secured their places in the 2026 T20 World Cup ahead of their Super Six encounter in Al Amerat.

Nepal and Oman have officially booked their spots in the 2026 T20 World Cup, to be held in India and Sri Lanka, even before their Super Six clash in Al Amerat in the Asia-EAP Qualifier. One more team from the ongoing tournament will join them in next year’s marquee event

The qualification was confirmed after UAE defeated Samoa by 77 runs earlier in the day, ensuring that Nepal and Oman could not be displaced from the top two positions. UAE currently sit third on the Super Six points table with four points, while Oman and Nepal lead the standings, separated only by net run rate.

The 24-year-old has taken ten wickets in four innings at an impressive average of 9.40 and an economy rate of under six. His match-winning spell of 5 for 18 helped Nepal bowl out Qatar for 142 while defending a target of 148.

Meanwhile, Oman’s left-arm seamer Jiten Ramanandi has also been in fine form. He is the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament, with seven wickets in four innings at an economy rate of 5.90.
