T20 World Cup 2026: Jatinder Singh to Lead Oman, Vinayak Shukla Named Deputy

Oman have announced their squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with Jatinder Singh leading the side and Vinayak Shukla as his deputy.

Oman Cricket officially unveiled Oman’s squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Top-order batter Jatinder Singh was named captain of the 15-member side, while Vinayak Shukla was appointed vice-captain for the marquee tournament.

This will be Oman’s fourth appearance at the T20 World Cup, having previously featured in the event three times. The team will be keen to make a deeper run this time and push for a spot in the Super 8s. Oman have been placed in Group B alongside Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Ireland.

Oman will begin their group-stage campaign against Zimbabwe on February 9 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo. They will then face co-hosts Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium on February 12, followed by a clash against Ireland on February 14. After a brief break, Oman will conclude their league fixtures against Australia on February 20.
