T20 World Cup 2026 | Pakistan Qualifies For Super 8 With Sahibzada Farhan Ton vs Namibia

Sahibzada Farhan’s unbeaten century and Usman Tariq’s four-wicket haul powered Pakistan to a commanding 102-run win over Namibia.

Pakistan national cricket team produced a dominant all-round performance to crush Namibia national cricket team by 102 runs in the 35th Match, Group A of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the SSC in Colombo on February 18. This win laddered them to the Super 8 stage as they bagged their 3rd win and garnered the required 6 points.

After being put in to bat, Pakistan posted a formidable 199/3 in 20 overs at a run rate of 9.95. The innings revolved around a magnificent unbeaten 100 off 58 balls from Sahibzada Farhan, who struck 11 fours and four sixes. He reached his century in 57 deliveries and anchored the innings from start to finish.

Pakistan lost Saim Ayub (14) early at 40/1, but Farhan stitched together a fluent 67-run stand with captain Salman Agha, who made a brisk 38 off 23 balls.

After Agha and Khawaja Nafay (5) departed in quick succession, Shadab Khan joined Farhan to add a crucial unbeaten 81-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Shadab remained not out on 36 off 22 balls, smashing three sixes to power Pakistan to a strong finish. For Namibia, Jack Brassell picked up 2/48, while captain Gerhard Erasmus claimed 1/25.

Namibia Chase Derailed Early

Chasing a steep target of 200, Namibia never gained momentum and were bowled out for 97 in 17.3 overs. Louren Steenkamp top-scored with 23, but wickets fell at regular intervals. Namibia slipped from 43/3 to 49/4 and later collapsed from 79/5 to 81/7, effectively ending their hopes.

Shadab Khan led the bowling attack with 3/19 in four overs, while Usman Tariq delivered the decisive blows, finishing with outstanding figures of 4/16 in 3.3 overs, including a maiden. Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza chipped in with a wicket each.

Pakistan’s disciplined bowling and sharp fielding ensured Namibia never recovered from early setbacks. The comprehensive victory boosted Pakistan’s campaign, while Namibia struggled to cope with both the pace and spin on offer.
