Priyansh Arya set the tone with 39 off 11. Prabhsimran Singh added 43 off 34. Cooper Connolly contributed 36 off 22. Captain Shreyas Iyer anchored the chase with 50 off 29. Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 14 off 6, while Marcus Stoinis scored 9 off 3.
They sealed the result despite late wickets at 186 in 17 overs. For CSK, Matt Henry picked 2 wickets for 54 runs. Anshul Kamboj also took 2 wickets for 43 runs in 3.4 overs.
Chennai posted 209/5 in 20 overs, but the total proved insufficient at Chepauk. In the first innings, Ayush Mhatre led the charge with 73 off 43. He shared a 96-run stand with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who played a steady role. Sanju Samson struggled to score and fell cheaply early in the innings.

CSK faced a brief collapse from 110/1 to 130/4 in the middle overs. Sarfaraz Khan responded with a quick cameo to stabilise the innings. The push helped CSK finish at 209/5 in 20 overs.
Despite the total, CSK extended their losing run at home to 6 matches. They now face early defeats after 2 games in IPL 2026.
