Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s explosive knock steals the show as a playful Rajat Patidar moment goes viral after RR’s dominant win.
During the RCB vs RR IPL 2026 clash, in a surprising move, RCB captain Rajat Patidar grabbed Rajasthan Royals’ wonderkid by the neck after the match.
As RCB cruised to 201 in their first innings, led by captain Rajat Patidar himself, Venkatesh Iyer added valuable contributions at the end. However, despite the mammoth target, defending it became a difficult task, courtesy of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s destructive display of 78 runs from just 25 deliveries.

Sooryavanshi scored at an incredible strike rate of 300 while completing his half-century in just 15 deliveries. He hit Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for sixes and boundaries, helping Rajasthan Royals race to 97 for 1 inside the powerplay.
After the match, in a lighthearted post-match congratulatory walk, as cameras focused on the players, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was seen interacting with other players. Suddenly, Rajat Patidar walked up to him and playfully grabbed his neck to give him a slight shake.
The gesture, though, appeared friendly and quickly went viral on the internet, with fans enjoying the interaction between the two players.
Nevertheless, Sooryavanshi has now gone past Yashasvi Jaiswal in the Orange Cap race with his 78 runs, helping him reach a massive total of 200 runs from just four matches. With this win, Rajasthan Royals have now climbed to the top of the table, holding a net run rate of +2.055, with their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 13.
