Vaibhav Sooryavanshi delivered a standout performance in IPL 2026 with a rapid 78 off 26 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The 15-year-old attacked from the start and dominated the bowlers at Barsapara Stadium. His innings included 7 sixes and 8 fours. He also matched his own record by reaching a half-century in just 15 balls during the knock.

Virat Kohli acknowledged the Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s effort after the match. The former RCB captain signed the youngster’s Rajasthan Royals cap and wrote a short message that read,” Dear Vaibhav, well done”.

Sooryavanshi won Player of the Match for his knock. Speaking at the post match presentation, he said his father, coaches and guardian guided him to stay focused. He added that he felt disappointed after getting out early and will aims to add 10-20 more runs for the team.
Meanwhile, in the match Rajasthan Royals chased 202 in 18 overs with 2 overs remaining to win by 6 wickets. Riyan Parag opted to bowl first. RCB posted 201/8 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 32 off 16, while Rajat Patidar made 63 off 40. Sooryavanshi added 108 runs with Dhruv Jurel in 37 balls. Jurel remained unbeaten on 81 off 43. Ravindra Jadeja scored 24 not out off 25. Krunal Pandya took 2/30, while Josh Hazlewood finished with 2/44.
