Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 4 consecutive boundaries off Josh Hazlewood and scores a 15-ball fifty in RR vs RCB IPL 2026 match.

Rajasthan Royals’ teenage star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his strong form in IPL 2026 during the ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10. The 15-year-old targeted Josh Hazlewood in a key over and scored 4 consecutive boundaries.

He hit 4, 4, 4 and 6 off Hazlewood, collecting 16 runs in the over. He followed it up by taking on Bhuvneshwar Kumar, scoring 16 runs in the next over with 2 sixes and 1 four. Sooryavanshi completed his half-century in 15 balls, matching his earlier 15-ball fifty record in IPL 2026. He had also scored a half-century against Chennai Super Kings on the same ground.

With this knock, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also equalled a major IPL record. He joined Abhishek Sharma and Nicholas Pooran for the most half-centuries scored in under 20 balls in IPL history.

He earned a standing ovation after his dismissal after scrong 78 off 26 balls and led the chase strongly. At the time of writing, Rajasthan Royals have reached a comfortable position with 3 wickets down while chasing 202.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 201/8 in 20 overs. Captain Rajat Patidar anchored the innings with 63 off 40 balls after a top-order collapse. Virat Kohli fell early to Ravi Bishnoi. Impact substitute Venkatesh Iyer boosted the total with an unbeaten 30 off 9 balls. He struck 4, 6 and 6 in the final over to push the score past 200.
