WATCH | Sanju Samson Excited To Share CSK Dressing Room With MS Dhoni In IPL 2026

Sanju Samson said he is excited to share the Chennai Super Kings dressing room with MS Dhoni during the IPL 2026 season after joining CSK in a major trade.

Sanju Samson is preparing for the Indian Premier League 2026 after a strong run in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The Kerala wicketkeeper-batter recently moved from the Rajasthan Royals to the Chennai Super Kings in a major trade. The deal involved Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran moving the other way. Chennai Super Kings secured Samson on an INR 18 crore contract.

During a public event in Thiruvananthapuram, Samson shared his excitement about playing alongside MS Dhoni. The two players have interacted earlier during national team assignments. IPL 2026 will allow them to spend nearly 2 months together in the same dressing room. Samson expects valuable learning from Dhoni’s experience and leadership during the season.

“I have spoken with Mahi bhai a lot, have seen him on and off in the Indian team. But it’s going to be the first time that we spend two months together. There is very much excitement,” Samson said.

“Whenever he calls or speaks to me, there is always a positive influence. But being there with him in the team for 2 months will have its benefits, and thinking about it makes me happy. Seeing and learning the way he approaches cricket is something I see as an opportunity,” he added.
