India batter Sanju Samson received a grand welcome after returning to Kerala following the T20 World Cup 2026 win. Samson arrived at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Monday.
A large crowd gathered outside the airport to welcome the local cricket star. As Samson stepped out of the terminal, fans cheered loudly and chanted his name. Kerala education minister V Sivankutty was also present at the airport to greet the cricketer and congratulate him.
Samson acknowledged the supporters and thanked them for the warm reception.

Sanju Samson finished the T20 World Cup 2026 as one of the tournament’s top performers. His match-winning innings came during the Super Eight match against the West Indies. Samson scored an unbeaten 97 from 50 balls and guided India to a crucial win.

The wicketkeeper-batter delivered another key performance in the semifinal against England. He scored 89 and helped India reach the final. Samson continued his strong form in the title match against New Zealand. He produced another impressive knock of 89 and helped India post a huge total. India later secured the trophy and Sanju won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award for his performances.
