Praful Hinge’s fiery spell and Sakib Hussain’s key breakthrough took SRH to a 57-run win over RR in IPL 2026.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured a 57-run win over the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2026. Chasing 217, the Royals collapsed early as debutant Praful Hinge struck three times in his first over. Rajasthan slipped to 9/5, losing half their side inside the Powerplay.

Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja then rebuilt the innings with a 118-run partnership and kept the chase alive. Sakib Hussain broke the stand by dismissing Ferreira, and Jadeja fell soon after, ending hopes of a comeback. Rajasthan eventually finished on 159.
Earlier, the Royals opted to bowl first. Jofra Archer struck on the first ball to remove an opener. Ishan Kishan (91) and Travis Head steadied the innings briefly. After Kishan’s exit, the lower middle order added crucial runs as Sunrisers posted 216/6 in 20 overs.
Performances like these come from a lot of hard work behind the scenes 🙌

Sakib Hussain from Bihar wanted to be part of Indian Army. He certainly looks solid fit. Brilliant start to his IPL Career.

The fact that Jaddu doesn’t take on spin, more so left arm spin is very intriguing.

He is too good a player to be not taking a risk against a perfect match up for him.
I know there will be stats that tell us that he doesn’t have a good sr against spin, but the surprise for me…
Praful Hinge 👏 what a dreamy start.
