The probable Super 8 line-up for the 2028 T20 World Cup features the eight teams that progressed to the Super 8 stage in the 2026 edition.

The Super Eights line-up at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has been finalised, and with it, the first set of teams have officially booked their places for the 2028 edition to be held in Australia and New Zealand.

Pakistan’s win over Namibia confirmed the last Super 8 spot, completing the second-round line-up. India and Pakistan advanced from Group A, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe progressed from Group B, West Indies and England moved ahead from Group C, while South Africa and New Zealand qualified from Group D.

By reaching the Super Eights, these eight teams secured automatic qualification for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028. Co-hosts Australia and New Zealand had already earned direct entry into the tournament.

The Qualification Scenario And Result For 2028

The remaining automatic qualification spots will be determined by the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings as of the March 9 cut-off, one day after the 2026 final. Bangladesh are set to benefit from this system and are poised to secure one of those direct berths. Afghanistan and Ireland are also expected to qualify based on current rankings, with no upcoming fixtures likely to impact their positions.
