Varun Chakaravarthy shared how Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni guided him with their unique approaches to the game during his chat on the ‘Breakfast with Champions’ show.
Indian spinner Varun Chakaravarthy recently opened up about his experiences with three of India’s greatest cricketers, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni — during his appearance on Gaurav Kapur’s popular show, ‘Breakfast with Champions’.
Varun spoke about how each of them has a distinctive style and how their advice helped him grow as a cricketer. Varun described Rohit Sharma as “tactical,” explaining that the India captain focuses on small yet crucial details. “When you go to Rohit Sharma, he is very tactical. He is like, try to do this. You come, bowl in with the old ball, there will be more drift and all of these things,” Varun recalled.
He then highlighted Virat Kohli’s ability to motivate players in challenging situations. “Virat just motivates you to the core and somewhat brings that Spartan energy inside. However impossible the situation looks, just go for the kill. He brings that energy,” Varun said.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni’s advice stood out for its simplicity and depth. “Dhoni, all he said to me was just do the basics right. Everyone under pressure looks to do something different, something out of the blue, but just think about doing the basics, and you will get through it. Yeah. And mostly you will be successful,” he added.
