Bowling a hard-length delivery angled across the batter, Akash forced Gaikwad into an awkward pull shot attempt. The CSK captain failed to control the stroke, and the ball went towards mid-on, where Nicholas Pooran completed a simple catch. The wicket reduced Chennai to 31/1 and gave Lucknow early momentum in the match.

However, it was Akash Singh’s celebration that quickly grabbed attention. Moments after taking the wicket, the left-arm pacer pulled out a note carrying the messages “#Akki On Fire” and “Akash knows how to take wickets in a T20.”
