Lucknow Super Giants lost another major wicket during their chase against Chennai Super Kings after a sharp run-out sent Aiden Markram back to the pavilion. The dismissal came in the 13th over with LSG struggling badly at 130/5.
Akeal Hosein bowled a full delivery on middle stump and Akshat Raghuwanshi drove it towards deep midwicket before calling for two runs. Markram reacted slightly late while turning for the second run, which opened the door for CSK.

In the match, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and chose to bowl first. LSG started aggressively through Josh Inglis, who scored 85 runs and reached his fifty during the powerplay. However, the innings lost momentum after quick wickets at the other end. Mitchell Marsh managed only 10, while Nicholas Pooran departed for just 1.
Jamie Overton then changed the match by dismissing Inglis and LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who scored just 15. The double strike pushed Lucknow into trouble.
