WATCH | 6,6,6,6! Donovan Ferreira Punishes Rashid Khan In RR vs GT Qualifer 2

Donovan Ferreira’s explosive 38* off just 11 balls, including four sixes in Rashid Khan’s final over, powered Rajasthan Royals to a commanding position.

Donovan Ferreira produced one of the most destructive cameos of IPL 2026 as the Rajasthan Royals finisher dismantled Rashid Khan in the final over of the innings during Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans.

The South African batter’s explosive unbeaten 38 off just 11 balls powered RR to a daunting total of 214/6 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rajasthan Royals were already in a commanding position thanks to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s sensational 96 off 47 balls and Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten 45. However, it was Donovan Ferreira’s outrageous finishing burst that completely tilted the momentum towards RR.

Walking in during the death overs, Ferreira wasted no time settling down. The right-hander smashed two fours and four sixes in his unbeaten knock, scoring at a stunning strike rate of 345.45. His brutal attack came primarily against Rashid Khan, who endured one of his worst spells of the season.

The Royals collected 27 runs from the final over, with Ferreira hammering Rashid for four sixes in the over to take RR beyond the 210-run mark.

Rashid Khan Endures Nightmare Spell

Rashid Khan, usually Gujarat Titans’ most dependable bowler in pressure situations, had no answers to Ferreira’s fearless hitting. The Afghanistan spinner conceded 45 runs in his two overs without taking a wicket, finishing with an economy rate of 22.50.

Ferreira began the carnage with a massive six over long-on before launching consecutive slog sweeps and straight hits into the stands. Rashid repeatedly missed his lengths, bowling short or too full, and Ferreira capitalised on every scoring opportunity.

The Titans bowlers had earlier struggled to contain Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as well, but Rashid’s expensive final over turned a strong RR total into a potentially match-winning one

Despite losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early, Rajasthan Royals dominated the innings through aggressive batting. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi led the charge with seven sixes and eight boundaries during his explosive 96-run knock.

Ravindra Jadeja anchored the innings from one end, while Ferreira’s finishing touches ensured RR crossed the 200-run mark comfortably.

For Gujarat Titans, Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder picked up two wickets each, but the bowling unit failed to stop RR’s relentless attack in the final overs.
