After the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 clash at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, uneasy scenes unfolded during the post-match greetings. Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav were seen visibly upset with India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
After the match ended with India winning by 61 runs and bundling Pakistan out for 114, Hardik Pandya was seen coming into close quarters with Kuldeep Yadav and scolding him on air. Hardik appeared visibly upset and angry with Kuldeep Yadav after the conclusion of the match, as Rinku Singh and Tilak Varma stepped in to diffuse the argument.
Later, during the post-match courtesy exchange, Suryakumar Yadav was also seen furious with Kuldeep as he pushed him away while walking through the handshake line. While pushing Kuldeep away, Suryakumar Yadav also mouthed a few words at him that clearly indicated the upset mood of both Surya and Hardik. Watch the clip below:
Why Did Hardik & SKY Scold Kuldeep Yadav?
For context, on the second ball of the 18th over, when Hardik Pandya had the opportunity to finish the game early with Shaheen Afridi’s wicket, Kuldeep Yadav dropped a sitter that resulted in six runs. As Pandya bowled a short-length delivery on the stumps, Shaheen attempted a pull shot towards the leg side.

He mistimed it, and Kuldeep Yadav, stationed at cow corner, tried to palm the ball but instead helped it clear the ropes, conceding six runs. Although Hardik Pandya did not react immediately, he was visibly disappointed. Pandya eventually dismissed Usman Tariq later and appeared to vent his frustration at Kuldeep afterward.
India Dominate Pakistan
In the match, India were powered by Ishan Kishan’s 40-ball 77 to post a total of 175 on the board. Pakistan never looked threatening after their top-order collapse early in the chase.
Only Usman Khan tried to build some resistance, but it was in vain as Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel’s crucial wickets derailed Pakistan’s chase, handing them a loss in their important group-stage match. Pakistan now await the Namibia clash on February 18 to determine whether they will qualify or be eliminated from the tournament.
