Marco Jansen’s stunning boundary catch steals the spotlight in a high-scoring SRH vs PBKS clash after a blistering start by Hyderabad’s top order.

The SRH vs PBKS clash in IPL 2026 on April 11 has been an intense affair. Abhishek Sharma’s 28-ball 74 and Travis Head’s 23-ball 38 helped Hyderabad cruise to 120 runs by the end of 8 overs.

While the team looked solid on the away ground in New Chandigarh, Punjab’s all-rounder Marco Jansen grabbed a blinder that almost seemed like an unbelievable catch near the boundary line.

Ishan Kishan, the captain and wicketkeeper of SRH, was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh on the last ball of the 14th over as he was striking at a handsome rate of 158.82.

As Kishan was sent back for a 17-ball 27, Arshdeep’s 133 km/h delivery was smacked for a six that was brilliantly stopped by Marco Jansen at the boundary line.

As Arshdeep delivered a full-length ball to Ishan Kishan, the batter flicked it towards the leg side, sending it towards the right of Marco Jansen at deep midwicket. With his tall stride, Marco Jansen, stationed at the boundary line, ran in and grabbed the catch one-handed, denying Ishan Kishan a six and sending him back to the pavilion.

It was one of the most difficult catches that Marco Jansen made look easy. However, with that, Sunrisers Hyderabad had to lose their captain, as Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma took on the proceedings from there.

By the end of 16.4 overs, Hyderabad had already reached 194 for the loss of four wickets as they aimed for a mammoth total on the board and possibly a win against Punjab Kings at their home to bag two points on the table and move up the ranks.
