Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has come under scrutiny during IPL 2026 after a dressing room incident surfaced online. Parag appeared to be using a vape during the match against the Punjab Kings on April 28.
The moment occurred in the 16th over of the second innings in Mullanpur. Parag had returned to the dugout just 7 balls earlier after his dismissal. Cameras caught Riyan Parag sitting inside the dressing room, vaping during the chase. The footage quickly spread across social media platforms.

The incident may prompt disciplinary action by authorities. The league maintains strict conduct standards for players during matches. Smoking remains banned inside dressing rooms and stadium areas, except in designated zones.
The incident is even more serious as the device appeared to be an e-cigarette or vape. India enforced a nationwide ban on such products under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act 2019. The law restricts production, sale, purchase, import, export and promotion. Violations can result in jail terms and heavy fines.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals secured a win in IPL 2026. The result also ended Punjab Kings’ winning streak in the tournament.
