The MI vs PBKS clash on April 16 reached its peak when Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya.
The moment came on the third ball of the 18th over when Marco Jansen delivered a slower, full ball outside off stump. Pandya attempted a big shot but mistimed it, resulting in a front-foot slog that sent the ball high into the air.
Shreyas Iyer ran across from long-on, leapt into the air, and grabbed the ball near the Mumbai Indians dugout. Immediately after holding the ball, he was self aware enough and threw the ball back before falling beyond the boundary.

Xavier Bartlett, positioned nearby, completed the effort by safely catching the ball, making it a brilliant team dismissal. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, who were in the MI dugout, were left stunned and applauded the athletic effort. Watch the clip below:
Meanwhile, things haven’t gone well for Mumbai Indians so far. It was Quinton de Kock’s century that kept them in the game during the first innings. Naman Dhir also contributed with a quick 50 off 31 balls, supporting de Kock. However, the top order, including Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav, failed to make an impact.
With a total of 195 on the board, Mumbai Indians set a competitive target, but Punjab Kings looks confident and in control as they will begin their chase at Wankhede Stadium.
