Television cameras captured an awkward moment between the two stars when Travis Head appeared ready for a handshake, but Virat Kohli walked past without responding. Head later looked back as the incident quickly went viral on social media.

Earlier, the tension had already started earlier in the innings during the fourth over. Young spinner Shivang Kumar conceded 23 runs after Venkatesh Iyer smashed 3 sixes and 1 boundary. Throughout the over, Kohli repeatedly stared towards Head and exchanged playful comments as RCB dominated the attack.

In the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad crushed Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 55 runs after piling up 255/4 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Abhishek Sharma gave SRH a flying start with a stunning 56 off 22 balls, smashing 5 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 254. Ishan Kishan then anchored the innings with 79 off 46, while Heinrich Klaasen hammered 51 from 24 deliveries. SRH blasted 16 sixes overall, with every RCB bowler conceding more than 12 runs per over. Josh Hazlewood endured a tough outing and leaked 55 runs in 4 overs.
RCB’s chase never gained momentum despite Venkatesh Iyer smashing 44 off 19 balls. Virat Kohli managed only 15, while Rajat Patidar scored 56 and Krunal Pandya added 41. RCB eventually finished on 200/4 in 20 overs.
