Bangladesh Women have qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled in England later this year. The team delivered a strong performance at the Global Qualifier 2026 in Nepal. Their place was confirmed after success in the Super Six stage. Bangladesh sealed a top-four finish with a 39-run win over Thailand in Mulpani. The Netherlands also advanced after a 21-run DLS win against the USA.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 165 for 8 in 20 overs. Dilara Akter fell for a golden duck. Juwairiya Ferdous and Shobhana Mostary added 110 runs for the third wicket. Ferdous scored 56 and Mostary made 59. Thailand managed 126 for 8 in reply. Nathakan Chantham top-scored with 44. Marufa Akter took three wickets. Bangladesh now leads the Super Six table with six points and a net run rate of 1.15.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands has secured a historic place in the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time. The team booked qualification by finishing inside the top four at the Global Qualifier. They topped Group B with key victories. They beat Thailand by 17 runs and edged past hosts Nepal by two runs in a tense match.
The Netherlands had reached the Global Qualifier after finishing second at the 2025 European Qualifier. That result earned them one of Europe’s allotted spots. The successful campaign now sends the Netherlands women’s team to the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time.
