The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) congratulated India national cricket team after their historic triumph in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. India defeated New Zealand national cricket team by a commanding 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, lifting the trophy in front of a packed home crowd.

The victory marked a landmark achievement in the history of the tournament, as India became the first team to successfully defend the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title. It was also the first time the nation had won the tournament on home soil, making the triumph even more memorable for millions of fans across the country.
