On the Fast Bowling Cartel podcast, McGrath picked Jasprit Bumrah as India’s No. 1 ODI bowler, followed by Kapil Dev in second place. Mohammed Shami ranked third, with Ajit Agarkar fourth and Javagal Srinath fifth.

Zaheer played 194 ODIs from 2000 to 2012, taking 269 wickets and finishing as joint-highest wicket-taker in the 2011 ODI World Cup. Bumrah has 149 wickets in 89 matches, while Shami has dismissed 206 batters in 108 games. Agarkar ended his ODI career with 288 wickets in 181 matches, and Srinath took 315 wickets in 229 games, making him India’s highest wicket-taking pacer in ODIs.

On the same podcast, former Australian pacers Jason Gillespie and Damien Fleming also shared their picks for India’s top five ODI fast bowlers. Gillespie chose Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Kapil Dev, Ajit Agarkar, and Javagal Srinath. Fleming also ranked Bumrah as India’s best ODI pacer but included Kapil, Srinath, Shami, and Zaheer Khan, leaving out Agarkar.
