The PCB has reportedly raised concerns with the ICC after Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha was left out of the T20 World Cup 2026 ticket promotion poster.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly expressed dissatisfaction after the ICC excluded Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha from the official T20 World Cup 2026 ticket promotion artwork. The poster was released on December 11 alongside the launch of Phase I ticket sales for the tournament.
While the promotional poster highlighted several star players from participating nations, Pakistan’s designated captain was missing, which did not go unnoticed by the PCB.
According to reports from India Today, Board officials believe the omission undermines Pakistan’s representation at a global event, especially given the team’s massive fan following. The PCB has formally approached the ICC to seek clarity on the selection process used for promotional campaigns.

The board also views this as a repeat of similar concerns raised during a recent Asia Cup promotion.

“We faced the same issues when the Asia Cup was held a few months back, and that time the broadcasters had started a promotional campaign without our captain featuring in it. We are facing a similar situation this time as the ICC has not projected our captain on the promotional poster for ticket sales,” a reliable source in the PCB was quoted as saying.
Pakistan will open their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on the first day against the Netherlands in Colombo.
