Virat Kohli smashed an unbeaten 105 off 60 balls as RCB defeated KKR by 6 wickets in IPL 2026 at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru completed a stunning chase at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday night, overhauling Kolkata Knight Riders’ competitive total of 192/4 to win by 6 wickets with 5 balls to spare, finishing on 194/4 in 19.1 overs.
KKR, sent in to bat after RCB won the toss, posted a respectable total on a good batting surface. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was their standout performer, contributing a composed 71 off 46 balls, striking at over 154 with 7 fours and 3 sixes. He stitched crucial partnerships throughout the innings. Rinku Singh chipped in with a brisk 49 not out off 29 balls to push KKR past 190. Cameron Green added a steady 32, while Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen gave the side a solid start up top.

For RCB’s bowling attack, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood each picked up a wicket, while Rasikh Salam Dar also bagged one. The bowlers kept things respectable though Jacob Duffy proved expensive, conceding 48 runs in his four overs.
In reply, Virat Kohli anchored the chase brilliantly in what was a masterclass innings. He finished unbeaten on 105 off 60 balls, smashing 11 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 175. It was a measured yet aggressive knock that kept RCB ahead of the required rate throughout. Devdutt Padikkal supported him with a useful 39 off 27 balls before being dismissed in the 14th over.
KKR’s best bowler was Kartik Tyagi, who took 3 wickets for 32 runs in four economical overs, but Kohli’s brilliance made sure it was not enough.
