Match officials reported Vaghela following USA’s fixture against Ireland. The Event Panel reviewed video footage from her subsequent appearance and ruled that her bowling exceeded permitted limits. Under Article 6.7, the panel enforced an instant ban on bowling in all international matches.
The 20-year-old must now undergo reassessment and receive ICC clearance before resuming bowling. Vaghela can still feature as a specialist batter during this period. Before the ruling, Vaghela delivered steady performances for USA. She took 4 wickets in 6 matches and maintained an economy rate of 6.40.
Earlier, USA batter Aaron Jones was also placed under provisional suspension after facing five anti-corruption charges. The case involves alleged breaches during the 2023-24 Bim10 tournament and two incidents from international matches. Jones has until January 28, 2026, plus 14 days to submit his response.
