James Anderson, the English great, has chosen Sachin Tendulkar as the best batter of all time, overlooking his frequent opponent and India star Virat Kohli. The former England fast bowler made the pick in a video segment for Cricket on TNT Sports.
Tendulkar scored 34,357 runs in 664 international matches. Kohli is third on the all-time run-scoring list with 27,975 runs from 556 matches. Anderson, the third-highest wicket-taker in Tests, also shared his opinions on various cricketing categories.
James Anderson Picks Best English and Aussie Cricketers
When asked to select the best English and Australian cricketers, Anderson named Joe Root and Shane Warne respectively. Root is England’s highest run-scorer across formats. Warne took 708 Test wickets for Australia.
Anderson also named other greats in specific roles. He picked Australian Glenn McGrath as the best fast bowler.
