Kuldeep Yadav to Miss Remaining T20Is, Set to Play India A Series Before South Africa Tests

Kuldeep Yadav has been released from the ongoing T20I series to play for India A and prepare for the upcoming Test matches against South Africa.

Kuldeep Yadav has been released from India’s ongoing T20I series in Australia to join the India A squad for the second four-day game against South Africa A. The match begins on November 6 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The move aims to give the spinner valuable red-ball practice ahead of the upcoming IDFC First Bank two-match Test series in South Africa.

“The Indian team management has requested to release Kuldeep Yadav from the ongoing T20I series in Australia to allow him to participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru,” the BCCI said in a statement.

With Kuldeep’s exit, India’s T20I squad for the fourth and fifth matches features Suryakumar Yadav as captain, with Shubman Gill as vice-captain. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant will lead India A, which also includes KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal, Sai Sudharsan, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna.
