Mumbai Indians have strengthened their coaching setup ahead of the Women’s Premier League 2026 by appointing former Australia leg-spinner Kristen Beams as spin bowling coach. She joins head coach Lisa Keightley and bowling mentor Jhulan Goswami as the franchise prepares to defend its title.
Beams brings strong international and coaching experience. She represented Australia in 1 Test, 30 ODIs, and 18 T20Is, and featured in 45 Women’s Big Bash League matches. After retiring, she moved smoothly into coaching and development roles.
She also has coaching stints in the WBBL and The Hundred. She served as head coach of the Australian Women’s Under-19 team. In addition, Beams worked with Cricket Australia as National Development Lead and held a senior community role at Cricket Tasmania.

Meanwhile, the squad for WPL 2026 includes Harmanpreet Kaur, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Shabnim Ismail, Amanjot Kaur, Saika Ishaque, Nicola Carey, Milly Illingworth, Sajana Sajeevan, Sanskriti Gupta, Kamalini G, Rahila Firdous, Poonam Khemnar, Triveni Vasistha, and Nalla Reddy.
Mumbai Indians will enter the new season as one of the strongest teams in the competition.
