Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant Criticised Online for Comment on Temba Bavuma

Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant faced criticism online after a stump-mic clip showed Bumrah making a disrespectful comment on Temba Bavuma during the Kolkata Test.

Jasprit Bumrah delivered a sharp opening spell for India on Day 1 of the first Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens. He took two wickets for nine runs in his first seven overs. Bumrah removed Ryan Rickelton with a decisive delivery and later drew an edge from Aiden Markram.

Later in the seventh over, Bumrah struck Temba Bavuma on the pads, but the LBW appeal was turned down by the umpire. As India discussed the review option, stump-mic audio captured Bumrah using a derogatory comment on Bavuma while speaking with Rishabh Pant.
