South Africa Women have named the squad for the 2026 India T20Is. Tebogo Macheke gets maiden call-up, replacing injured Karabo Meso. Find the full details here.

South Africa has named a 15-member squad for the home T20I series against India, starting April 17. The five-match series acts as key preparation for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England.

The Proteas return from a 4-1 series loss in New Zealand but retain most of the touring group. Captain Laura Wolvaardt leads a side with two changes. Wicketkeeper Tebogo Macheke, 25, receives her first international call-up and replaces injured Karabo Meso.

All-rounder Eliz-Mari Marx, 23, comes in for Masabata Klaas. Marx last featured in a T20I in November 2024 and has impressed for the Titans this season. Head coach Mandla Mashimbyi welcomed both players and said the squad continues to evolve with fresh energy as they build towards the World Cup.

Cricket South Africa also confirmed three support staff exits, with batting coach Baakier Abrahams, strength coach Zane Webster and fielding coach Bongani Ndaba set to leave after their contracts end later this year. Head coach Mandla Mashimbyi thanked the trio and said the team now enters a new phase ahead of the World Cup.

The India series starts April 17 in Durban, returns there on April 19, shifts to Johannesburg on April 22 and 25, and ends April 27 in Benoni.
