The star duo of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will feature for Delhi in the opening matches of the domestic ODI tournament.
Delhi has named a 20-member squad for its first two games in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. The team will be led by Rishabh Pant and features the star presence of Virat Kohli.
This follows a BCCI rule requiring all Indian team members to play in at least two rounds of the domestic List A tournament. Delhi is placed in Group D and will play all its group matches in Bengaluru, starting from December 24.
The inclusion of both Pant and Kohli provides a major boost to the Delhi side. Kohli is coming off strong batting form from the recent ODI series against South Africa.

His next international duty is a one-day series in January against New Zealand. Veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma is also part of the squad, reuniting with Kohli, with whom he made his Delhi debut back in 2006.
DDCA president Rohan Jaitley confirmed Kohli’s availability on December 2. Pant will captain the side in the matches against Andhra and Gujarat.
