Virat Kohli clapped back with humour at ‘overseas player’ jibes over his London break in a viral chat with Danish Sait’s Mr. Nags ahead of IPL 2026.
Star batter Virat Kohli had stepped away from cricket after India’s last ODI series in January. He spent much of his break in London with his family, skipping the usual pre-season grind. His London trip, however, stirred debate on social media. Some fans questioned why he stayed abroad for so long.
Kohli laughed off social media criticism during a chat with Danish Sait’s Mr. Nags character. Sait teased Virat Kohli about his extended London stay, joking that RCB were effectively fielding 5 overseas players. Kohli fired back instantly. He questioned why anyone would call him an overseas player and redirected the question back at Sait.

“There are many things people say about you on social media. Now they are saying that RCB is playing five overseas players. I am not understanding what they are asking, actually,” Sait asked.
“I don’t know why you are asking me? Ask the overseas players. I am not an overseas player. Am I an overseas player?” Kohli responded hilariously.
