Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant might feature in Delhi’s Vijay Hazare Trophy team as the DDCA included both stars in its probables list.
Delhi will receive a major boost for the Vijay Hazare Trophy with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant set to join the squad after the DDCA released its probables list for the tournament. Kohli’s availability was confirmed earlier in the month. Pant’s inclusion further strengthens the batting.
Their addition came after the BCCI strengthened its rule that requires contracted players to feature in domestic cricket when free from international duty. Delhi will start their Elite Group D campaign in Bengaluru, facing Andhra and Gujarat at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The team will then shift to the Alur Cricket Ground for the remaining five matches on the city’s outskirts.
Notably, Virat Kohli will be rejoining the team after earning the Player of the Series award in India’s 2-1 ODI win against South Africa. Rishabh Pant returns seeking game time after missing the ODI matches. Both will remain available through the ODI series against New Zealand from January 11 to 17, 2026.
