Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad produced one of the most brutal batting displays, posting an imposing 255 for 4 in 20 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat. RCB’s bowlers were taken to the cleaners from the very first over, with no bowler finishing with an economy rate below 12.

Travis Head set the tone with a brisk 26 off 16, hitting five fours before being bowled by Rasikh Salam Dar at the end of the fourth over. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for 56 off just 22 balls but not before he had helped put on 52 runs for the second wicket in under five overs alongside Ishan Kishan.

Nitish Kumar Reddy provided the finishing in the death, smashing an unbeaten 29 off 12.
