Defending a crucial total in a must-win game, Siraj bowled a sharp delivery outside the off stump that induced an edge from Samson.
The ball flew straight to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler, who completed a simple catch behind the stumps. Samson walked back for a golden duck without opening his account, giving GT an ideal start in the high-pressure contest.

The early breakthrough lifted Gujarat Titans instantly as Siraj celebrated aggressively alongside his teammates after removing one of CSK’s key batters at the start of the chase.
Sanju Samson had earlier suffered finger injury while keeping
Before coming out to bat, Samson had already suffered an injury scare while keeping wickets during Gujarat Titans’ innings. The CSK wicketkeeper-batter hurt his fingers behind the stumps and was forced to leave the field midway through the innings for treatment.
Urvil Patel temporarily replaced Samson as wicketkeeper after the injury concern. Despite the setback, fans were relieved to see Samson return to open the batting for Chennai Super Kings.

However, the comeback lasted only one delivery as Siraj dismissed him instantly, leaving CSK under pressure right from the beginning of the chase.
