Urvil Patel hit a record breaking 50 off just 13 balls to equal the fastest fifty in IPL history before pulling out an emotional note for his father as celebration.

Chennai Super Kings batter Urvil Patel created IPL history in the ongoing match, after smashing a record-breaking 13-ball half-century against Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This knock helped Urvil Patel equal Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record for the joint-fastest fifty in IPL history.

Urvil attacked from the very beginning and hammered 2 fours and 7 sixes during his stunning innings. He reached the milestone with a single off Mohammad Shami in the final ball of the seventh over.
