West Indies have announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The two-time champions have opted for a balanced group featuring power hitters, several all-rounders, and varied pace options.
Shai Hope will captain the side. The batter returns to the T20I setup after missing the recent series against Afghanistan. The squad includes experienced names such as Jason Holder, Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, and Akeal Hosein, along with pace options Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph, and Romario Shepherd.

Evin Lewis is a notable omission. The 34-year-old left-hander featured in the first and second T20Is of the recent three-match series against Afghanistan in Dubai. However, he struggled for impact, which likely influenced the selectors’ call. Quentin Sampson is the unexpected pick. He had made his T20I debut against Afghanistan. He scored 35 runs across three matches, yet earned selection.
Every shot, every celebration & and every moment of hope, we show the world who we are!🌴
