The WPL chairman confirmed the 2026 schedule, announcing a weekday final and a shift to a January-February window.
The 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) final will be held on a weekday, Thursday, February 5. The tournament will begin on January 9 and span 28 days. It will be played across two venues: Navi Mumbai and Vadodara.
The schedule includes two Saturday double-headers. The first 11 matches will be at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. The remaining 11 matches, including the Eliminator on February 3 and the Final, will be at Vadodara’s Kotambi Stadium. Apart from the early games on double-header days, all matches will be evening affairs.
This is the first time the WPL will be played in the January-February period. The first three seasons were held in February-March. This edition will also avoid clashes with major international fixtures. The week of the final is crowded with other global tournaments. The men’s Under-19 World Cup ends on February 6, and the men’s T20 World Cup starts on February 7.
