Deepti Sharma has been named as the No. 1 T20I bowler in Women’s cricket as she replaced Annabel Sutherland for the top spot.
In a career-first achievement, India’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma has ascended to the number one position in the ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings.
She displaced Australia’s Annabel Sutherland with 737 rating points, a narrow one-point lead. Sharma’s rise follows a strong performance in India’s recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, where her economical bowling earned her critical rating points.

The latest rankings also saw a change at the top of the Women’s ODI Batting list. South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt, after a century against Ireland, has replaced India’s Smriti Mandhana as the top-ranked batter. Wolvaardt now holds 820 points, with Mandhana nine points behind in second place.
Deepti Sharma earned this ranking after her exploits in the Sri Lanka T20I series at home, where she returned figures of 1 for 20 from four overs against Sri Lanka in Vizag, helping her surge to the top.
Wolvaardt Ascends To The Top
Regarding Wolvaardt’s ascent, her rise to the top came after her century in the final match of South Africa’s three-match ODI series against Ireland.
Other Indian players saw shifts in their standings. In the T20I bowling rankings, Renuka Singh Thakur fell three places to 14th, while Radha Yadav held her position at 15th. In the ODI batting rankings, Jemimah Rodrigues maintained her 10th-place standing, and captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained 14th.
