Samson’s explosive performances towards the latter stages of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup played a crucial role in India’s title-winning campaign. Meanwhile, Bumrah delivered match-winning spells, including a standout performance in the final. Esterhuizen earned his place on the list after an impressive debut T20I series against New Zealand.

Sanju Samson emerged as a key player in high-pressure matches, delivering a remarkable unbeaten 97 against the West Indies, followed by two crucial innings of 89 in both the semi-final against England and the final against New Zealand.
Jasprit Bumrah, on the other hand, showcased his brilliance with the ball, claiming seven wickets across important matches at an excellent average and economy rate. His defining moment came in the final, where he registered exceptional figures of four wickets for just 15 runs.

In the women’s category, Amelia Kerr, Beth Mooney, and Ayabonga Khaka have been nominated for their outstanding performances.
Kerr delivered impactful contributions in both ODIs and T20Is against Zimbabwe and South Africa, strengthening her case for another ICC award. Mooney continued her consistent run-scoring form across formats against India and the West Indies, while Khaka stood out with the ball, finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the T20I series in New Zealand and following it up with a strong ODI performance.
