South Africa defeated India by 51 runs in the IND vs SA 2nd T20I, powered by De Kock’s 90 and strong bowling from Baartman.
South Africa produced an all-round display to beat India by 51 runs in the IND vs SA 2nd T20I and level the series 1-1. Quinton de Kock’s 90 set up a strong total before Ottniel Baartman dismantled India’s chase with 4 wickets.
India’s reply faltered immediately as Shubman Gill fell for a golden duck and Suryakumar Yadav(5) failed to settle, leaving the hosts three down inside the Powerplay. Axar Patel’s(21) early knock did not work, and India slipped to 67/4 despite brief resistance from Tilak Varma. Tilak reached his 5th T20I fifty and fought hard, but with Hardik Pandya(20) short of form and little support from the middle order, the target quickly piled up.
Earlier, South Africa powered to a strong total of 213 built on 15 sixes, led by Quinton de Kock’s explosive 46-ball 90. David Miller and Donovan Ferreira added late runs with a 53-run stand off 23 balls.

Varun Chakaravarthy provided two wickets for India and Axar Patel claimed one, but the rest of the attack struggled. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh endured a tough outing, conceding heavily.
With the ball, the visitors struck early as Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi removed both Indian openers and then the captain. George Linde maintained pressure through the middle overs, while Lutho Sipamla added two wickets. Ottniel Baartman sealed the match with three wickets in the 19th over to complete a four-wicket haul, and Ngidi wrapped up the innings to secure a 51-run win.
Shubman Gill’s T20i form is a big worry ahead of the T20 World Cup. Hopefully he finds his touch soon, otherwise it could turn into a real catch-22 situation for Team India.

13 full tosses today while bowling. How to negate that?
These are the question team India needs to answer going froward. Hopefully they answer them with positive impact.
It’s amazing how the game works. Just a day ago, on a different pitch, Hardik looked solid. But on a surface that offered something for the bowlers, his stand-and-deliver style didn’t click ,because when the pitch lacks pace or bounce, you’ve got to move your feet.
