Khawaja Nafay’s stumping of Cooper Connolly in the third Pakistan vs Australia T20I went unchallenged despite a clear technical error.
Pakistan wicketkeeper Khawaja Nafay’s stumping came under scrutiny during the third T20I against Australia. The moment occurred with Australia at 82 for 6 when Cooper Connolly arrived at the crease.
Connolly lasted only two balls. He charged down the pitch to Mohammad Nawaz, missed the delivery, and appeared to be cleanly stumped. With Connolly well outside his crease, the decision looked straightforward and the umpires gave him out. The dismissal handed Nawaz his fifth wicket of the innings.

Subsequent replays, however, showed a technical flaw. Nafay broke the stumps with his left hand while the ball remained in his right hand. Under ICC playing conditions, the stumps must be broken with the ball in hand. The error went unnoticed during play, allowing the dismissal to stand.
