PSL 2026 | Lahore Qalandars Sign Mustafizur Rahman in PKR 6.44 Crore Deal

Lahore Qalandars signed Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman for PKR 6.44 crore (USD 230,000) ahead of the PSL 2026 auction on February 11.

Defending Pakistan Super League champions Lahore Qalandars signed Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman through a direct deal before the auction on February 11. The agreement stands at PKR 6.44 crore, close to USD 230,000.

The move strengthens Lahore’s bowling unit as the team targets consecutive titles. This marks Mustafizur’s third association with the side. He first joined in 2016 but missed the season due to injury. He returned in 2018 and played five matches, taking four wickets with an economy of 6.43.

The franchise highlighted his experience and familiarity with the setup, viewing the signing as a key step in preparations for PSL 11.

“Once a Qalandar, always a Qalandar. Mustafizur is not just a player; he’s a brother, a key part of our family who never left. We are thrilled to welcome him back to our dressing room. His talent, experience, and dedication will be invaluable as we aim to defend our title and make a statement in PSL 11,” Qalandars’ owner Sameen Rana was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

This signing adds to a core featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abdullah Shafique, Sikandar Raza, and Mohammad Naeem. Under revised PSL rules, teams may complete one overseas direct signing outside the auction. Lahore used that option on Rahman.
