The Pakistan Cricket Board announced a 16-member squad for the three-match T20I home series against Australia. All matches will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, January 31, and February 1. Each game will start at 4pm PKT.
Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi return to Pakistan’s T20I squad. Both players missed the away tour of Sri Lanka earlier this month due to Big Bash League commitments. The series serves as Pakistan’s final T20I assignment before the T20 World Cup 2026.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf remains absent despite strong recent form. His last T20I appearance came in the Asia Cup 2025 final against India. Shadab Khan continues his comeback and strengthens the spin group. He joins Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usman Tariq.

The squad and support staff assemble in Lahore on January 24. Training begins the next day. Australia arrives on January 28. This is Australia’s second T20I series in Pakistan after April 2022.
