Pakistani players gathered at Times Square for a PSL fan event to promote the Pakistan Super League.
Pakistan cricket players are holding a fan engagement event for PSL at New York’s Times Square today (December 14). The Pakistan Cricket Board organized the event to raise the PSL’s global profile and attract foreign investors.
This follows a similar roadshow held in London last week. The PCB is seeking investors for two new franchises to expand the league from six to eight teams.
Expanding PSL’s Reach
The PCB released details of the event in a statement. “Pakistan cricket team players, along with the HBL PSL Trophy, will be present at Times Square at 5:30 pm, offering fans a special opportunity to celebrate the global spirit of the HBL Pakistan Super League,” the PCB said.
It added, “Pakistan cricket and franchise fans in New York are invited to join this unique fan engagement moment.”
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is in New York to attend. He recently extended the bid deadline for two new PSL teams to December 22 due to rising international interest.
The London roadshow featured former stars Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja alongside current players like Babar Azam. They discussed the league’s role in developing Pakistani talent.
